Throughout the month of May, the UK charity Living Streets will be asking people to #Try20 and fit 20 minutes of walking into their day.
Organisers are also inviting communities to discover the magic of walking and celebrate the many health and happiness benefits of walking and wheeling.
A spokesperson for the walking charity said: “We want a nation where walking is the natural choice for everyday local journeys.
“Our mission is to achieve a better walking environment and inspire people to walk more.
“Did you know that a 20-minute walk can reduce the risk of preventable health conditions, including certain cancers, depression, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes?
“Why not start this month and feel the health benefits of a 20- minute walk or wheel – it’s also a great way to boost your mood.”

May also sees the return of Walk to School Week (20-24 May) when Living Streets celebrate the health and social benefits associated with walking to school.
Schools are invited to take part in a five-day walk-to-school challenge with almost 300,000 pupils taking part in 2023.
